Outpatient Programs at Harmony Healing Center

Outpatient rehab is a partial care program that allows an individual suffering from alcohol dependence or other drug addiction the opportunity to receive treatment while still going about their daily routine. Outpatient alcohol rehab is financially feasible for many because it does not require overnight stays or meal plans. At Harmony Outpatient, we offer a variety of outpatient programs.

Outpatient Program

Outpatient Programs (OP) allow individuals to receive substance abuse treatment at their own pace while providing choices for the type of care and treatment that patients would like to receive. Treatment programs range from 6-20 hours a week depending on the treatment needs and the severity of one’s addiction. Our traditional outpatient program offers more flexibility and can be tailored to work with your schedule.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are a more structured type of outpatient program. IOPs often require more time commitment while still allowing the individual to return home after each treatment session. These programs are useful for patients who have just completed residential treatment (inpatient program) yet still require a thoroughly structured treatment plan in addition to medication monitoring.

Partial Hospitalization Program

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a type of outpatient treatment program that is most similar to residential treatment. It serves as an “in-between” step after completing residential treatment and before entering an outpatient program. This program tracks a patient’s progress once admitted to the hospital to determine if they are ready to be discharged. This program lasts about 3-5 hours each day and provides therapeutic techniques to help one’s healing journey. The PHP program allows the patient to return home at the end of each treatment day but still provides a high amount of monitoring to ensure the patient’s safety and readiness to move to a different type of treatment center.

Outpatient Services and Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Traditional outpatient programs look at the underlying causes of addiction and provide education, therapy, and medical assistance to help you work through your addiction. Depending on the rehab facility and the needs of the individual, treatment plans may vary. Below are the types of treatment services you can expect at our facility.

Therapy and Mental Health Services

Therapy can be helpful for any individual, especially those who struggle with alcohol addiction and other types of substance abuse. Therapy can help individuals unpack the root causes and triggers of addiction and provide tools and coping strategies throughout the recovery process.

Those who suffer from the disease of addiction may also face co-occurring disorders. Common disorders that are often seen with substance abuse include anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Therapy can be a useful way to work through a dual diagnosis and develop healthy coping strategies.

Group Therapy and Individual Therapy

You will often find both group therapy and individual therapy in outpatient rehab. It can be helpful to hear from others who have similar struggles to remind you that you are not alone in the recovery journey. Individual therapy is a great outlet for personal stories or traumas you may not want to share in front of a group.

Support Groups

Support groups and aftercare programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and other 12-step programs can be found during and after treatment. These serve as a way to come together with other addicts and provide support to one another through challenging times, as well as share positive outcomes from sober living.

Education and Life Skills

Outpatient services at Harmony also include substance abuse education along with life skills training. An important part of addiction recovery is understanding the impact that substance abuse can have on your life. Addiction may be present in family structures or friend groups and can hinder one’s ability to learn certain skills that help a person live a normal life.
